Things have finally started to quiet down and run smoothly again at the newly relocated Sumaru Prison. Not three years since moving from the old location in Hirisaka, the establishment has already suffered three possible escape attempts and four demon attacks.

Prison officials complain that the new location, a good ten miles north of the Sumaru City limits, has something to do with the increased trouble. The prison might be farther away from people, but there is less protection from the abnormal creatures outside of the city.

The events that took place a few weeks back during the newest demon attack on the prison are no exception to the worries of Prison officials. Four men used the confusion resulting from the disturbance the demons caused to their advantage in an attempt to break out and escape safely back into Sumaru City.

Three police officers were killed in the midst of the two incidents, as well as one of the inmates that helped in assisting officers on scene. Captains Deguchi and Matsukawa, Sergeant Yamada, as well as inmate Suou Kentaro were all killed during the chaos. Many more were injured. It is situations such as this that officials are worried about. The police on duty at the prison are facing double the hazard when the threat is not only from the inmates they are to guard, but from the outside as well with all the demons in the area.

Though the damage has been repaired and the funerals for the deceased have been commenced, the danger has not yet passed. Next time the prison is attacked, what will the city do if its most dangerous criminals are let loose in Sumaru again?

Officials say there won't be a next time, if their new proposal with the city government goes through. They are planning on employing fifty percent more trained officers at the Prison in an attempt to deal with the added danger.

The proposal is sent to go through early next month.
